01 What this policy covers
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Similar tools, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. This policy lists everything this website saves on your device and explains your choices. It applies to the website of Choosespeed Ltd, trading as Choose Speed. More about how we handle personal data is in our privacy notice.
02 What we use today
We use only what the website needs to work, plus the settings you ask for. None of it identifies you across other websites.
- Session cookie: keeps your visit together, for example while you fill in a form. It is deleted when the session ends, after about two hours without activity.
- XSRF-TOKEN cookie: stops another website from sending a form in your name. It lasts for the same time as the session.
- cs-theme and cs-motion (browser storage): remember the light or dark theme and whether you paused the animation. They stay in your browser until you clear it and are never sent to us.
- cs-consent (browser storage): remembers the choice you make about cookies, so we do not ask on every page. It stays until you clear it or we change the cookie groups.
- cs-boot (browser storage): remembers that the opening animation already played, so it plays once per visit. It is removed when you close the tab.
- cs-wait (browser storage): counts how many times the page that waits for a payment confirmation has checked, so it can stop. It is removed when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
03 What we do not use
At this time we do not use analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies. We do not load tools from other companies that set their own cookies on our pages. When you pay in the store, you leave this website for our payment provider's own page, and its own cookie notice applies there. We do not sell or share data about your browsing.
04 Why you are not asked to accept these
The law lets us save items that are strictly necessary to give you the service you asked for, or that remember a setting you chose, without asking for consent first. Everything listed above falls in that group. Because no other group is in use, the choice page has nothing else to switch on or off.
05 If we add other tools
If we ever add analytics or any other group of cookies, we will:
- tell you here, with the name of each item, who sets it, what it is for and how long it lasts
- keep it off until you say yes
- give you an equally easy way to say no
- ask you again, because the cookie version will change
You can change your mind at any time.
06 How to change your choice
Open Cookie settings from the banner or from the link in the footer to see your choice and change it. You can also delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie may stop our forms from working. If your browser does not allow storage at all, your choice applies to the current visit only.
